Jeff Seungmo Hong in Brief


Dr. Jeff S. Hong is a PhD in Economics specialized in Financial Economics, International Economics and Econometrics. He has taught at Fordham University in New York city since 1999, at University of Bridgepoert, Bridgeport, CT. He is currently teaching at CUNY.

Quantitative/Econometric analysis/modeling & forecasting is one of his fortés among broad range of research interests covering many of the international & financial economics topics.

Besides his academic credentials, he has 5 years' work experience in R&D management and technology cooperation; 2 years' work experience in international trade; 1 year's work experience in financial investment consulting. He has worked closely in the areas of South Korean industrial and science & technology policies and conducted researches on a number of related issues (especially information and telecommunications field) from the mid 80's through mid 90's.

As well as being a member of i)American Economics Society, ii)New York Academy of Science, iii)Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society), he has also earned 2 other graduate degrees in different fields: MA International Studies from University of Denver ('94) with specialization in International Economics and concentration in Technology Analysis and Management & also an extensive educational background in liberal arts with MA French linguistics, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies('88), Seoul, Korea.

He presented a paper on financial economics at the 71st Southern Economic Association Conference in Tampa, Florida on 11/17/2001 and is working on a few papers for publication in major sholarly journals.
